Heathrow Expansion?

The Department for Transport has held a series of public exhibitions on Heathrow Expansion, including exhibitions in Kensington and Fulham
A case has been made by business interests for a third runway at Heathrow, but the Council of the Society has resolved to oppose this because its mandate is to protect the quality of life of the people of Chelsea, which would be adversely affected by many more flights over Chelsea, creating more noise and air pollution, and increasing the risk of a catastrophic accident over a very densely populated area.  The Society consulted its members by e-mail on 16th May, and will be responding to the government consultation.
You can let the Government know your own views before 26th May by writing to The Secretary of State for Transport, 33 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 4DR or online at  https://runwayconsultation.dialoguebydesign.com/
